MAPS

Ascent

One of Ascent's peculiarities is that its spike sites are accessible through mechanical doors.

At the beginning of every round, one door A Link for A and Market for B is unlocked at each site.

To open or close the door, players can use a switch on the site side (next to the door on A and on a table in Tool Shed on B).

Although these doors have 500 HP and are impregnable when closed, players can damage and finally destroy them.

After being destroyed, the gateway stays open for the duration of the round.

Additionally, each of the two walls that divide Courtyard from Link has a destructible panel covering it. When unbroken, they take damage and are impervious to gunfire.

On the other hand, each panel has 400 HP and is susceptible to harm.

The panels feature colored indicators that show how much health each panel has remaining—they start off blue, turn yellow, and finally turn red as more damage is applied.

Players will be able to wallbang through these barriers for the remainder of the round if they are eventually destroyed.

Ascent is one of the maps that teaches you the basics of the game.

It has long range, mid range, and close range fights. Ascent teaches you how to play properly with your team. The team that wins has more coordination than the other team

Bind

Bind is a map with close encounters and corners.

One of the special features of Bind is that it has two one-way teleporters instead of a mid portion.

Players are transported from A Short to B Short by one, and from B Long to A Lobby by the other.

To utilize a teleporter, a player must step into the wall space occupied by the teleport entry.

The players will then instantly find themselves in a small exit area, which they can exit by moving in the direction of the entrance.

The only way to open this door is for players to walk up to it from within the exit chamber; otherwise, it will automatically open.

This door is closed by default. Although players outside the escape room are unable to access these doors, gunfire can still pass through them.

Lotus

Lotus has a number of features that are dispersed over the map.

This is VALORANT's second map with three sites. This has no bearing on the total number of ultimate orbs on the map; A Main and C Mound contain Lotus's two ultimate orbs.

The rear of A Site has two of the features on the map. To get players from A Site to A Top, there's a rope ascender available.

As long as they don't run and land too far off the drop, players' falls from A Top to A Drop are muted.

Rotating entrances are one of Lotus's distinctive features.

One is located on the A Side, between the A Main and the A Tree, and the other is located on the C Side, between the C Mound and the B Main.

A toggle button on either side can be used to open the doors, which will then rotate 180 degrees over the course of ten seconds to allow players to pass through a small window and reach the opposite side.

Additionally, a detachable wall separates A Main from A Link.

When it's intact, bullets cannot pass through it and it absorbs damage.

However, the wall has 400 HP and is susceptible to harm. Its colored indications, which change from blue to yellow to red as more damage is applied, show how much health the wall has remaining. At some point, it may be demolished, allowing players to spend the remainder of the game traveling through a tunnel connecting A Main and A Link.

Haven

One of Haven's characteristics is a third spike site.

This has no bearing on the total number of ultimate orbs on the map; A Long and C Long contain Haven's two ultimate orbs.

Additionally, the doors at Mid are covered in destructible panels. When unbroken, they take damage and are impervious to gunfire.

On the other hand, each panel has 400 HP and is susceptible to harm.

The panels feature colored indicators that show how much health each panel has remaining; they start off blue, turn yellow, and finally turn red as more damage is applied.

Players will be able to wallbang through these doors for the remainder of the round if they are eventually destroyed.

Haven has a lot of long range fights like C long, B mid, and A long.

Icebox

A Site can be found on Icebox, the first map to have horizontal ziplines.

Every Icebox site is a multifaceted fighting area with lots of verticality and shelter.

The emphasis of this map is on skirmishes, precise aim, and flexible play.

It's also the first map with varying elevation levels at the plant location.

Ropes allow players to enter the nests in both locations, where they must plant a spike on the floor.

Icebox is the only map where it is considered not to have a mid.
